Guatemala is considered the best destination in the world for Sailfish fishing and release (catch and release) and in Monterrico we are ready for you to have a truly unforgettable fishing experience.When a fish is hooked the action begins, the fishermen on the tour will take turns performing the task of pulling the fish out of the water. Some of the species that can be hooked are; Dorado (Mahi-Mahi), Yellowfin Tuna, Black Tuna, Snapper, Grunt, Sierra, Sailfish, Horse Mackerel, Bass, Roosterfish, among others.

Sea Turtles Release
Baby turtles can be released in the afternoons from September to December for a small contribution in all the hatcheries on the island. If you are lucky, you will be able to observe the spawning, the turtles go to the beaches where they dig a nest in which they lay their eggs (from September to the end of November).
